The Index area of the Aiguilles Rouges offers easy access, sunny and generally friendly climbs. Many of the routes here are fully bolted but there is plenty of adventure to be found on the trad climbs. The Aiguille du Pouce is quite a mission for any team, especially if you\'re trying to do it \'lift to lift\' in one day!
We\'ve given the routes here alpine grades (as well as technical grades) just so that novice alpinists can get an idea of what they can expect on more serious routes elsewhere in the valley.
