Curbar Edge has always had a reputation as a mean taskmaster. This was originally based on the legendary routes but the more recent bouldering development has done little to dispel this impression. The bouldering is dotted along the edge in small clusters. Some of it is on separate boulder jumbles and some is the lower sections and starts to routes. The main attractions are some eye-catching walls and aretes although these tend to be quite spread out. The classics of Art of Japan, The Art of White Hat Wearing and Sean\'s Arete are destination problems. There are also two excellent sections with good easy problems: the Cioch Top Boulders and the nearby Trench, and the delightful Little Quarry which also happens to be the closest spot to the parking.
