The Patones is a popular crag just outside Madrid. It has easy access and lots of quality routes. Many of the easier routes are a bit polished, especially round the areas closest to the car parks, but it is a well worth a visit, for those climbing in the 6s and above.
We have included the main crag of Pontón de la Oliva above the old stone dam. Above the crag opens out into wild hillside and some sections have a seasonal bans for various animals between January 15th and June 15th, although these have not been included in this guide.
