This majestic mountain is one of the most sought after in the Northern Highlands. The winter traverse of its tops ranks with Liathach as the finest in the area, although it does not quite equal its Torridonian rivals for quality snow and ice climbs. The main ridge runs in an east facing crescent from Sàil Liath in the south over the main tops of Sgùrr Fiona and Bidein a\' Ghlas Thuill to Glas Mheall Mor in the north. A ridge running east from Bidein a\' Ghlas Thuill separates two large east facing corries, Toll an Lochain and Glas Tholl. Both have climbs of interest, and Toll an Lochain in particular is a magnificent sight even when winter climbing conditions are poor.
