The East Face of Aonach Dubh overlooks the approach to Stob Coire nan Lochan; this slabby buttress lies high on the left side of the face, just right of the stream crossing, and is passed on the final ascent to the corrie floor of Stob Coire nan Lochan. It is useful for a short day, or when the higher cliffs are buried.
