[Stop corrie nam bay] Gaelic, meaning Peak of the Corrie of the Birch.
The massive 350m-high buttress of Stob Coire nam Beith overlooks the approach to the higher crags on Bidean nam Bian.
It is generally easier-angled and more broken than those higher crags, but it is riven with deep gullies, many of which make excellent winter routes.
