Moy Rock

A conglomerate sport crag immediately above the main A835 to Ullapool, some 24km to the north of Inverness, just east of Contin. In the past it was an esoteric trad crag with dodgy protection such as slings draped round 'pudding stones' but is now fully sport bolted. As the crag is open and sunny, dries very quickly, and with many easier routes, it is very popular. Protected birds and mammals have nested on the crag in the past, so visitors between February and July should watch out and minimise disturbance if necessary. Check the Mountaineering Scotland website for information and restrictions.
