Stob Ghabhar

[Stop Gower] Gaelic, meaning Goat Peak.
Stob Ghabhar and its neighbours in the Black Mount form a continuous chain from Victoria Bridge near Bridge of Orchy to the Glen Coe ski centre. The traverse of this range is a classic summer hillwalk or winter mountaineering outing, crossing some fairly remote and rugged terrain.
Any climbers who do this in good winter weather can't fail to notice the spectacular craggy corries passed on route. The best of these is the North-East Corrie of Stob Ghabhar.
