Sgùrr nan Saighead

[Skoor nan Sigh-it] Gaelic, meaning Peak of the Arrows.
The western part of the North Glen Shiel Ridge is known as the Five Sisters of Kintail. The traverse of this ridge is one of Scotland's classic hillwalking routes, combining an exposed, narrow ridge with tremendous views in all directions.
Of these Five Sisters, three are Munros (Sgùrr na Ciste Duibhe, Sgùrr na Càrnach and Sgùrr Fhuaran). The most interesting peak from a climbing point of view is Sgùrr nan Saighead, the northern outlying Top of Sgùrr Fhuaran at the north-western end of the ridge. Coire Druim na Staidhre to the east of the summit and Coire na h-Uaighe to its north both have worthwhile routes in a spectacular setting. The routes top out onto the narrow ridge crest, much to the surprise of any passing hillwalkers!
