Ramales is the major climbing venue in the Santander area. There are several crags in the main area and a couple of outlying Via Ferratas in case you need a damp day activity. We have included the more popular sectors that have more amenable grades. The routes from Sector Escaleras to Sector Pyramid have a good spread of grades. If you want more of an adventure then Rabo de Nube offers 4 pitches of great trad climbing and also has some neighbouring sport routes. We have not covered Sector Eco which is a crag of the future with some stunning projects and a few very hard routes. Thankfully though there are lots of other sectors with much more sedate climbing.
