Though Stanton in the Woods has been climbed on for years, it is only since 2008 that access has been open to climbers. In recent years it has become quite a popular spot when dry and several of the problems are now regarded as classics of their kind with Green Chapel, Eyes to the Skies and Just Looking being particularly noteworthy.
The rock quality is some of the best in the area and there are good problems across the grades for those prepared to make the effort.
