The Northcott area provides some of the most friendly bouldering on the Culm coast. There is a wide range of grades, landings are predominantly good (although these can vary hugely with sand levels) and the beach is an added attraction for those wishing to combine bouldering with a day of seaside fun.
Traditionally the area was popular for stamina training on the numerous pumpy traverses but since the late \'90s the number of \'up\' problems (or \'out\' in some cases!) has grown considerably. Only the better and more reliably-in-condition problems are included here; plenty of eliminates and less significant lines exist and are left to your own rediscovery.
As with all beach bouldering venues in the area, grades, quality and landings vary greatly depending on the height of the beach. As such, take all information here with a pinch of (sea) salt.
