Caswell Bay

Caswell is perhaps the most popular beach in the area, with parking, toilets and café all within a few metres of a perfect golden sandy bay with its own reliable beach break. The downside to this is that the car park is often full by 10am on a sunny Saturday and the only other option is to park in the estate at the top of the hill and stroll down with your kit, or perhaps more conveniently, jump on a bus. As sea cliffs go, these ones are easy to work with, just wait for the tide to pull back and walk across the sand to climb, just remember to leave before the sea returns. The climbs are let down a little by a lack of quality belays, but this can be arranged with a mix of small trees or ok wires. Descents are a mix of walk-offs or scrambles down.
