Caimari

The area known as Caimari refers to four individual crags scattered along a narrow valley just north of the town of Caimari itself. Sector Cueva is a super-steep cave and bulging wall with a fine set of very hard routes. The other crags are a complete contrast and have many more routes at friendlier grades. Hairpin Wall consists of a tall buttress with some good easier routes and only a minute stroll from the car. The other two cliffs - Muro de Caimari and Comuna de Caimari - are adjacent to each other and composed of excellent rock. Both have routes with plenty of variety, most being fingery walls or long lines of discontinuous tufa. Also the bases are shrouded by trees giving useful shade in warmer weather.
