Pulpit Rock Area

Pulpit Rock is a popular destination for tourists, tombstoners, and brides and grooms with their wedding guests. Whilst the Rock offers more to the deep-water-soloer than the boulderer, the nearby craglets provide plenty of entertaining problems.
The enormous power of the sea is very evident here. As you walk along the cliff top you will see numerous massive blocks gradually slipping into the sea like calving icebergs under the slow motion of geological time. The infamous storm Hercules completely destroyed two sectors in January 2014. Hopefully the remaining sectors will still be as described when you get there!
