Vathy Valley

A collection of cliffs that are all reached from the road that cuts through the mountains from Arginonta to Vathy - (also known as Vathi and Vathis). None of them are very popular, and it would be unusual to have to share a cliff, let alone queue for routes, even at the height of the season. The remote feel adds to the experience of climbing here, well away from the honey-pot crags of the west coast. It is worth considering a visit to the harbour village of Vathy if you are on this side of the island - a tranquil spot with sheltered swimming and a nice set of restaurants and cafes, plus the recently developed Little Eden for its .
