Wimberry

This collection of boulders is the Chew Valley's best bouldering venue with everything needed for a good session. Although Wimberry is far from the madding crowds of Eastern Grit, it has long been a favourite of the Lancashire and Manchester set and is well developed and popular.
The boulders are strewn across the steep slope below the imposing dark north-facing crag Wimberry itself. Although the first boulders are relatively low down the hillside, there is plenty more climbing to be found further up, so prepare to lug your pad up the hill if you want to make the most of the area.
The grit is solid with some sloping holds. Most of the problems are a good height and generally the landings are reasonable. The rock is very coarse in places and can have spectacular pebbles sticking out, meaning it will take its toll on your skin.
