Rivelin doesn't have a history of bouldering, but the development of some hard problems, and the re-categorisation of some of the shorter routes, has meant that there is now enough to justify a visit albeit only for those operating in the harder grades. There is very little in the Orange and Green band although Rivelin is excellent for routes at this level. Some of the best problems do see frequent ascents but many will need to be cleaned, especially after prolonged periods of bad weather.
