Froggatt

Froggatt has been bouldered on for years but it is only relatively recently that the full potential of the crag has been developed. The wooded area between the road and the main crag has many small blocks and small buttresses. Most of these now have problems and small routes on them although a lot of the rock is green and can be dirty. However, the most popular bouldering though is found on and around the main crag itself where the quarried nature of the rock offers some very technical and slabby problems. The Pinnacle boulders contrast beautifully with their rippled and rounded gritstone. The harder problems require strong fingers as well as the usual grit prerequisites of balance, technique and an occasional dash of thuggery.
