Burbage South Valley

The Valley Boulders at Burbage South offer some of the most friendly bouldering around. The landings are excellent and nothing gets too high. The problems tend to be slabs and walls with some rounded aretes thrown in. It lacks steep power problems, and really hard stuff, but there are plenty of those elsewhere. The areas around The Pock Block and The Brick can get very busy but the more distant ones like The Useful Boulder, The Piglets and The Kidney are usually much quieter.
Erosion - This is another area which has become a victim of its own popularity and it is showing increasing signs of wear and tear. Some holds have become sandy especially the pockmarks. More rock erosion has been caused by people climbing here when the rock is damp and it erodes much more quickly.
> Don\'t climb here when it is damp.
> Use a bouldering pad to protect the grass.
> Don\'t over-brush holds and only ever use a soft brush.
