Eridge Rocks

Eridge Rocks, commonly also referred to as Eridge Green Rocks, is part of a nature reserve owned by Sussex Wildlife Trust. The environment is more rugged and wild than other crags so Eridge is not a place to bring beginners or to have as your first sandstone experience. In fact Eridge is really only suitable for the experienced sandstone climber with its biological sensitive climbing environment which requires a very delicate climbing techniques especially where some of the rock can be much softer in places. An awareness of any restricted climbs is important so please check the BMC RAD.

Eridge Rocks is split up into four main areas: the woodland area of Eridge South; the rocks above the carpark; the main northern stretch of outcrops where the majority of the climbing is; and the final outcrop of Eridge Tower.
