Wallowbarrow Crag sits in a magnificent position overlooking the Duddon Valley. The range and style of routes on offer combines with easy access to make this a venue where many climbers experience their first taste of Lakeland cragging. Most routes are in the friendly grades and many are multi-pitch. The rock quality and protection are good and most of the stances large, giving the cliff a not-too-serious feel. With camping, accomMation and an excellent pub within easy walking distance, Wallowbarrow is a fine place for a weekend away at any time of the year. It is also sometimes spelled Wallabarrow.
