A little frequented but charming crag that is set at the head of a long valley below some spectacular scenery that makes up the northern ramparts of Helvellyn. The routes are mostly two pitches long and give interesting climbing on good rock, although protection can be awkward to arrange on some of the lines. Eagle Crag - Grisedale makes a good back-up should the lines on the much higher and less reliable crags in the area be out of condition.
