One of the big four hard venues in the Eastern Lakes, Iron Crag provides plenty of challenges for the those operating in the E grades. It sees few visitors even though its menacing profile can be seen from the main road. The routes are set above a steep slope and have immediate exposure, giving them a big feel. The rock is in general good on the lines covered here, though the harder lines are reliant on a good deal of in situ protection which should be treated with caution.
