Combe Gill

Combe Gill is a secluded side valley off Borrowdale. It is curiously quiet considering that it has a relatively short approach, a good grade spread, and is in a tranquil and picturesque setting. The valley itself has plenty of rock on show, all of which has been developed. The best two sections are the large rambling Raven Crag and the clean and compact Glaciated Slab. The route Corvus on Raven Crag has become famous for wet-day ascents which is good because this is the wettest spot in the country!
