White Ghyll forms an impressive gash on the fellside above Stickle Barn and the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. The climbing is on the steep eastern side and splits into two main sections. The lower crag has some tall roof-capped corners, and a blanker wall. It has a couple of mid-grade routes but most of the climbing is in the E-grades. The upper crag is much taller and has some superb multi-pitch classics that weave their way up through bands of overhangs. There is also a clean slab on the upper left side, giving a couple of popular green-spot routes.
