Burnt Crag is one of the Duddon Valley's finest chunks of rock with some brilliant single-pitch climbs in the middle to higher E grades. The cliff is compact and initially looks fairly amenable, but closer inspection reveals its true nature - steep and smooth grooves, thin cracks and a smattering of overlaps. The location is sublime with a wide grassy ledge at its base and fine views over the valley and surrounding fells.
