Brantrake Crag has a great trio of compact but interesting buttresses made of superb granite. The setting is idyllic and the approach walk short, making this a good choice should the higher crags be out of condition or the weather poor in the hills. The spread of grades caters for all, though the best routes are the crack-lines. These are generally well-protected but require good technique.
