Lost World

Perched high up on the slopes, and tucked neatly under a radio tower, is the spectacular tufa-laced wall of The Lost World. This amazing cave gives some spectacular long routes weaving between huge stalactites and tufas mostly requiring stamina and power for success. There are a few slightly easier routes on the vertical right-hand side but it is mostly mid-7 routes and upwards here.
The remote location and slightly difficult access ensure that it is rarely busy although it has been known to get busy on occasional weekends. Some of the climbs are very young and still need more traffic to establish the lines and clean the rock. There is plenty of scope for further development. Be mindful that stalactites can break and fall so a helmet is advisable when belaying. Some re-equipping is still ongoing.
