Beyond Auzat the road heads uphill into the mountains to reach the impressive dam at Soulcem after 12km. Above the upper end of the reservoir are couple of fine granite crags - the 120m spire of the Pic de la Madelon with four trad routes, and below it the 150m high Contrafort de Madelon with six multi-pitch sport routes. Good rock, sunny aspect and reasonable approaches make these great summer venues.
