Tideswell Dale drops down from the large parking area on the B6049 to the south of Tideswell, to the small parking spot on the Litton Road. It is a popular walking dale with a broad and accessible track on its base. There are small buttresses down its length but only a few see much activity these days. One is the popular bouldering wall of Freda\'s Buttress. Described here are two tiny but compact buttresses with some very hard sport routes.
