Carreg y Foel Gron is on the west edge of a huge area of boggy moorland to the southeast of Blaenau Ffestiniog and the other Moelwyns crags. The various buttresses are scattered across the hillside and offer plenty of single-pitch routes. The crag is used by outdoor centres for climbing and abseiling and there are stakes above many routes, although some of these are old and shouldn\'t be relied upon.
