The Range and Porth Dafarch

The area to the west of Trearddur Bay extending into The Range has a series of small cliffs and inlets all of which have been developed, but the rock is of variable quality. The routes included here are the best and most popular and are all well worth climbing. The pleasant lower-grade routes of Independence Slab offer some delightful climbing in their own right or as preparation for the lovely The Ramp of Pink Emulsion. Further east is the dramatic arched rock formation of The Fortress which offers relatively amenable routes in a wild setting. The final area covered is the headland near Porth Dafarch which has three interesting walls.
