This multi-storey abandoned quarry has a lot to offer a range of climbers, with a wealth of some very good, well-equipped routes from 4s to 6s spread across all of the quarry\'s various levels. For the climber seeking something with a little more difficulty, the Main Slab on the Second Level has the excellent Map of the Problematique, a great 7a, and on the Last Butt One Level, The Whole of the Law is a very enjoyable arete. The rock is diorite that is similar to compact granite and dries quickly, although the quarry\'s shady aspect means that it can be a cold spot in the winter months. The various levels have large flat grassy areas under the quarried walls and are pleasant places to relax between routes.
