Arhi Area

Arhi was the site of the first developments on Kalymnos. It remains the most popular of the Arginonta crags, and with good reason. Although baking hot in the warmer months, it is a great venue for when the cooler weather arrives. The left side of the cliff is made up of Dalle à Patouch and Belgian Chocolates - these areas have a great array of climbing across the grades. The main Arhi section, with is huge central cave, has spectacular, long, hard climbs (which see a fair few attempts and many failures), some ever-popular (and rather polished) tufa routes, and an area of popular grey slabs. Above this is the deserted crag of Balcony Helvetia, and finally, there is the easy multi-pitch route of Regensburg and the short White Wine Wall.
