Brassington

The climbing area near Brassington, also known as Rainster Rocks, is a diminutive but interesting set of towers in a picturesque landscape. The rock is high quality limestone, riddled with pockets and cracks. Sadly the place has been out of vogue for many years and it has become increasingly overgrown, with at least one buttress now completely cloaked in vegetation. Despite this, there is some good climbing to be had here, especially on the East Hill where the closely-packed routes on the Upper Tier are worth visiting.
