Penya Ginesta

A small crag of white limestone in a super situation looking straight out into the Med. It is close to the road and only a 15 minute drive from the airport and as such makes a good bet on travel day. The crag has a spread of grades with the common arrangement of easier routes on the flanks of the cliff and harder ones on the steeper central section. The fixed gear is generally excellent though one or two of the climbs appear to have missed the attention of the re-equipping crew! Most teams will be able to pass a pleasant day here without too much difficulty.
To the right of the approach road is a gorge with the impressive south-east-facing wall of the Pic de Martell. There are many climbs here, up to 3 pitches long, and spread across the grades. The fixed gear is a bit variable - consult the local guide if interested.
