La Creveta

One of the more popular crags on the island is the delightful slabby wall known as La Creveta. It is situated amid some impressive rock scenery on the northeastern tip of the island and has a wonderful outlook over the bay and Port de Pollença. Its proximity to Port de Pollença has undoubtedly contributed to its popularity, but the many climbers who come here are rarely disappointed. The climbing is split over several buttresses including a vertical section known as Sector Gringo Star; and the characteristic, perfect grey slab of the Main Wall. The latter is what most visitors come for - the slabs give some fine and fingery pitches on very compact rock, with finger-shredding holds on the hardest moves. Sector Gringo Star and its neighbour, Sector Cara Norte, offer a contrast with steep and exposed climbing on various ribs and walls. Unfortunately the bolts on these walls are showing their age.
