Twilight Area

(Craig yr Ogof - Crag of the Cave)
When viewed from afar the Twilight crags look relatively insignificant, but closer inspection reveals a wealth of steep buttresses, walls and grooves that contain some quality routes. The Twilight Area is the least visited of all the Eglwyseg Valley cliffs and it\'s a good spot to get away from the crowds if the more popular areas are busy. The area is neatly split into two distinct sections: the shady Gully Walls and the exposed Twilight Tower Buttress. The Gully Walls are a good venue in hot weather, containing a selection of mid-grade sport routes and some worthwhile trad routes. Twilight Tower Buttress is the highest crag in the valley, with stupendous panoramic views and some good low-grade routes.
