(Craig Tri Naid y Gath - Crag of the cat's three leaps) Pinfold is a long series of crags that offers a variety of both trad and sport climbs. Nearly every grade is catered for making Pinfold a great venue for teams of mixed ability. The north end of the escarpment has a number of shorter technical pitches whilst the centerpiece is the huge open-book Atmospheres bay, clearly visible from the road, home to Pinfold's best hard sport climbs. Moving south, the crag takes on a more impressive character in the form of Two Tier Buttress, with its selection of tough two-pitch routes. Just before the stream bed at the head of the valley, there is an exquisite section of crag with some brilliant little trad pitches. On the far side of the stream, the bulging Monkshead Buttress has a selection of powerful and technical sport routes, well worth a visit in hot conditions if looking for some cool in the shade.
