Giggleswick South

The convenient and very popular Giggleswick South crags offer a wide variety of climbing with plenty of worthwhile sport routes and a good selection of quality trad lines. Its ease of access means Giggleswick South is a good choice for an evening or short-day visit. Most of the sport routes are on the Lower Crag with grades ranging from 4 to 7b and they provide vertical wall climbing that is often technical but never too strenuous. The Upper Crag has a more open aspect and contains a good number of fine trad pitches, once again on vertical rock. Two more recently developed sectors, called Stone Cold and Dressage Buttresses are similar to those on the Lower Crag whilst the G-Spot has a handful of desperate but short sport lines.
