Pot Scar

The low cliff-line above the hamlet of Feizor is a popular trad venue. Pot Scar has plenty of routes that give excellent but quite pressing climbing where care with gear placement is necessary, particularly at the starts. From a distance the cliff face looks featureless, but closer inspection reveals there to be a pronounced mix of corners, grooves and thin cracks. The rock is generally sound and the location sublime with extensive views to the south. Another plus is the pleasant cafe at Feizor which for most is a bit too far for a midday break but is worth getting to before it closes. Parking in Feizor is problematic and in the holiday season it will normally be necessary to park in the cafe car park.
