St Bees South Head

Much the smallest of the three St Bees areas, but a little gem for lower-grade bouldering. The area is a sun-trap and has a laid-back, lazy-day feel; ideal for whiling away a few hours. There are three main boulders, all with good landings, on a wide rock platform, backed by a vertical wall with many other possibilities. In line with flavour of the place, we have just indicated some of the more obvious lines - there is plenty more to do. In addition there is another nice wall immediately north of the area and numerous boulders all along the shore back to St Bees village.
