Ermita de Betlem

The two crags of Ermita de Betlem offer something slightly different to the other crags on this side of the island. Located on a treeless hilltop high above the sea, and facing due north, the crags can offer some relief from the heat and are well worth considering as a summer location if visiting in the warmer months.
The rock is a very compact white limestone with little of the overhanging blob-covered stuff on show. The vertical sections give steep and technical climbing, with many of the routes being tricky to read and much more difficult than first appearances suggest. The central section of the lower tier is severely overhanging and offers routes of the highest difficulty.
