Blacknor Central presents a long set of interconnecting walls composed of vertical sheets of stone that appear to be blank but disguise a profusion of small fingery holds. Much of the best climbing is in the mid-grades and the fly-on-the-wall style of climbing is one of the great facets of climbing on Portland. The cliff is the first to come onto the sun and makes a good starting point for a day on the other Blacknor crags or the nearby Battleship areas.
