Clogwyn y Grochan is characterised by steep walls, cracks and grooves, and routes which pack quite a punch. It is common to have a hard time here on your first visit, especially if you do battle with the routes near the central wall around Brant Direct. However, if you drop your grade a bit, and take a route or two to get used to the place, then you will enjoy some brilliant climbs especially in the VS to E2 range.
