Glyder Fach

The north-facing cliffs of Glyder Fach are often overlooked, but a visit will often be rewarded by solitude and some of the best mountain routes Ogwen has to offer. With classic routes from VD to E6+, there will be something for everyone. The main draw for many is the classic VS Direct Route, climbed in 1907, which will send shivers down your spine when you start to wonder what on earth the first ascensionist used to protect the crack other than courage! Similarly Chasm Route and its scrambling alternative are perhaps the most popular routes on this cliff along with the scrambles of Shark Buttress and Dolmen Ridge.
Also of interest are a few choice high standard routes including the amazing Hyndsight.
