Speke\'s Mill Mouth

Speke\'s Mill Mouth and its conjoined neighbour Brownspear Point are two visually remarkable crags that possess a select collection of pitches - one being a Culm Coast classic. Speke\'s Mill Mouth has the advantage of being a non-tidal venue as it is set well back away from the sea, whilst access to Brownspear Point is not too limited by the tides. The setting of the cliffs next to a popular viewpoint and beach mean that this is not a place to seek solitude but the experience, once climbing, is unlikely to be hindered by any inquisitive day-trippers. The top of Speke\'s Mill Mouth is solid but the finishes and descent from the climbs at Brownspear Point require care.
