Just to the west of the M5 south of Bristol is a large limestone quarry that offers a number of high quality traditional pitches covering a reasonable grade span. The quarry is an extensive working, its two biggest walls being of greatest interest to climbers. The rock on the routes described is good and well-travelled, with the cracks providing excellent protection. Although the quarry is not exactly a beauty spot, it is quiet, clean, sheltered and sunny. There is also some sport climbing on its shorter walls which is not covered here.
