Sheeps Tor is a wall of vertical granite, split by cracks of all shapes and sizes. The climbs are all worthwhile and provide a high concentration of easy and mid-grade routes that are not intimidating - useful for those looking to practise their first leads. As a consequence, the crag has become very popular with commercial groups which can dominate the cliff. The routes are fairly polished but in compensation the holds are positive and the protection possibilities excellent.
